An Iconic Eindhoven Venue to Host a Bold and Rebellious Sustainable Fashion Playground on International Women’s Day 2025 

EINDHOVEN, NETHERLANDS – On March 8, 2025, De Fabriek will transform into a bold, rebellious sustainable fashion playground, showing that creativity—not consumption—can define the future of style. 

Powered by Emmaus Eindhoven and creatively masterminded by Octophina (Sofia Yotova) with the support of Vredesburo Eindhoven, this vibrant event is a collaborative effort uniting enthusiasts, artists, and changemakers. The adventure won’t end when the event does. The entire process—styling, upcycling, and behind-the-scenes action—will be documented and turned into digital content, ensuring the message of sustainable fashion reaches beyond the venue. 

No matter your age, skill level, or gender identity, you’re invited to join this creative uprising and turn someone’s trash into your sustainable fashion treasure through creative play. “Fashion shouldn’t be about empty trends—it should be about meaning, creativity, connection, and feeling confident in what we wear,” says Sofia Yotova, concept designer of the event. “This playground is more than an event; it’s a rebellion against waste and a celebration of humans’ ability to rethink, reimagine, and rebuild.”

✂️Upcycling Stations (17:00 - 19:00) 💡 What You’ll Do: Cut, stitch, paint, and turn discarded textiles into fashion-forward pieces. Learn easy upcycling tricks and leave with a unique, self-made creation. 

🛍️Curated Thrift Pop-Up by Emmaus Eindhoven (17:00 - 21:00) 🔍 What You’ll Find: One-of-a-kind pre-loved fashion, rare vintage finds, and upcycled accessories waiting for a second life. 

🗣️Raw & Real Connections (19:00 - 20:00) 🎤 What’s Happening: An unfiltered conversation about fast fashion, body image, and the future of self-expression in a world obsessed with trends. Expect bold insights and raw personal stories. 

👗 Radical Runway: The Sustainable Fashion Show (20:00 - 21:00) 🚀 What to Expect: Models of all identities, shapes, and styles reclaim the runway in pre-loved and upcycled looks crafted by experts or created live during the event.
